Scope

This document refers to personal data, which is defined as information concerning any living person (a natural person who hereafter will be called the Data Subject) that is not already in the public domain.

The 2018 Data Protection Act and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), along with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), seek to protect and enhance the rights of data subjects. These rights cover safeguarding personal data and protecting against the unlawful processing of personal data.

This Privacy Policy is for Strathard Community Trust which is located at Strathard Business Hub 1st Floor, Trossachs Discovery Centre Main Street, Aberfoyle Stirlingshire FK8 3UQ. Our website address is strathardct.org.uk.

For the purposes of data protection and this Privacy Policy, all entities will be referred to as the Trust. In the event of any differences in data processing, the relevant company name will be used in full.

Who we are

Strathard Community Trust is the community development trust for Aberfoyle, Kinlochard, Stronachlachar and Inversnaid.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profiles. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What information we collect and what we do with it:

When new members join the Trust we ask for their name, postal address, telephone number and email address. If a new member applies to the ‘Junior Membership’ category we also ask for their date of birth so that we know at what point to move them over into the ’18 or over’ age category.

This information is held solely for the purpose of managing membership subscriptions; circulating invites to General Meetings or sharing essential information about the Trust and its work.

Person-specific details that people have submitted to us via our website contact form or through social media is kept on file so that we can reply to their enquiries. We only keep names and email addresses.

We do not collect, store or analyse any information from people who visit our website or blog, such as internet login information or cookies.

Personal Data

1. The Trust uses the information collected from you to provide to make telephone contact and to email you information concerning your enquiry.   
2. For marketing purposes, the Trust may use the contact details provided by you to respond to your enquiries including making telephone contact and emailing information to you that we believe may be of interest to you
3. When you make initial contact, including through website enquiries, you consent to the Trust maintaining a marketing dialogue with you until you either opt out (which you can do at any stage) or we decide to desist in promoting our services. At all times, the Trust will work hard to be fully UK GDPR compliant
4. The Trust will only collect the information needed so that it can provide you with the services it provides; the Trust does not sell or broker your information
5. Comments: When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
6. Media If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website

To promote the Trust. Communications may include direct mail, email, newsletters, telephone calls, social media and any other channels to reach those who may be interested in facilities provided by the Trust.

By agreeing to this Privacy Policy you are agreeing to the Trust processing your personal data for the purposes outlined. You can withdraw agreement at any time by using the postal or email address or telephone number provided at the end of this Privacy Policy

Retention Policy

How long we retain your data: We generally keep your information as needed to securely render our business, close transactions and to deal with claims.  This will depend on several factors such as whether you or your company or organization are an existing client or have interacted with recent client mailings or bulletins or attended recent events.  We will retain your information as necessary to comply with legal, accounting or regulatory requirements.  We will not retain your personal information for longer than is necessary for the purposes explained above.

• The source of personal data if it wasn’t collected directly from you
• Any details and information of automated decision making, such as profiling, and any meaningful information about the logic involved, as well as the significance and expected consequences of such.

Donating to Strathard Community Trust

If you donate money to the Trust through our online fundraising campaigns we ask for your name and contact details, so that we can document who made the donation, and contact you in case of any queries.
